Ramirez Wedding // Perdido Key, FL

Weddings are my life. TRULY. I got to multiple weddings a week. I couldn’t even tell you how many I have been to throughout the years. I have played just about every role you could think of at many of those weddings. My favorite roles though of course include that as a Photographer and Glammother!ß----------Bridal Hairstylist/Make-Up Artist

It was no surprise when I received the inquiry from this beautiful bride’s stepmom asking me to do all three of my passions for her daughter’s special day, that I quickly accepted such a opportunity. The family would be traveling from Texas and were looking for a simple low key beach Wedding in Perdido Key, Pensacola. I had never photographed at this particular beach but was excited to explore the new location that would be the beautiful backdrop to this romantic beach wedding.

I got few details before the big day so upon arrival I was greeted by the lovely bride who was optomistic, excited and surprisingly very calm. She had met her handsome groom and knew he was the one. At their beach wedding they were surrounded by many of their loved ones which included Parents, Siblings, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and most importantly their young son.

It was so nice to see everyone working together as a team trying to get all the finishing up all the little details to give the couple the wedding of their dreams. In fact I thought it was so special that the officiant that would be marrying them was none other than the bride’s dear grandfather. Apparently he marries everyone in the family which was so special. We joked that if grandpa didn’t like you then you probably would not be getting married.

As we finished up final hair/make-up details we look outside to see that a horrible storm is heading our way. We must now work FAST to get our lovely bride married before the storm ruins everything. So we cramp into the bedroom and rush to get the detailed shots. Her father is waiting to close by to wisk her away to join her groom. Once her mom and step mom have finished with her veil and earrings she in now ready to go.

The wind has now picked up and she is walking down the aisle. It was really important to her to get that shot of her groom’s reaction to her coming down the aisle. I always get so emotional when I see the groom’s eyes fill with tears as he sees his forever for the first time. This day was no exception.

The ceremony like most beach ceremonies was short and sweet. The weather did not disappoint either in fact it seemed like the dark rain cloud had passed right past us. Once the young couple was married her stepdad played some music and even gave us a little acapella performance.  We then proceeded to take our family portraits. My favorite moment was when the bride’s father invited her stepfather to take a photo with his daughter. It was so special to see him acknowledge the other father in her life.

Once Family portraits were completed we then proceeded with our Couples Portraits. It was a magical night for sure. The breeze was just enough, the sky a perfect hue and LOVE was in the air. It was really nice to have her aunt stick around to help me as I hurried to get the picture perfect images completed before our impending rain.

We completed our shots then ran inside for some cake and the wedding toasts. It was a beautiful evening with my fellow Texas peeps. As I drove off the rain finally made it’s appearance just in the nick of time too.  I know we were all grateful that the sweet couple got the wedding of their dreams.
