Krebs Wedding, A year later // Navarre Beach // Jessica Salort Photography

It's incredible to me that it's been a full year, since I got to witness Stefanie and Julian marry on the lovely beaches of Navarre, FL. While it was not a big fancy wedding with the usual over the top details or the handfuls of people they hardly knew, but a intimate celebration. The wedding was planned in a pinch as they decided now could be no better time to ensure that they had the the most important people there which included Stephanie's parents, siblings, grandparents, uncles and aunts plus the cutest little flower girl. They were hoping to plan more elaborate wedding somewhere in Europe some other time but for now this day was all about the family.

Stephanie's Aunt graciously opened her gorgeous condo to the family for the intimate event. Her balcony was where their union would take place. The setting to where they would say their I do's overlooked the roaring waves of the Gulf. The sky a little was a little cloudy and the wind was mighty chilly. The day was promising. And it was perfect for the Krebs to start their marital journey.

One thing for me at every event I do is to take 3 things with me to set apart this event from others. I remember with such richness each event by doing this. Here is what I took from that day.

1. The tranquility of the day. I walked in to the room to greet Stephanie and I could feel her peace. No nerves or big emotions just the peace of her soul in that moment. I then walked out to meet Julian and yet again he let out a certain peace too. It's as if God made these two perfectly for each other and nothing could bother them. Their day would happen and it would be as it was meant to be, full of love.

2.Julian was from Germany and so his family was unable to make it to this wedding being that it was so far and last minute. All of Stephanie's family wrapped him in their care as if he was their's own all along. And because his family not being there they helped him connect with them so they would not miss a minute of the celebration. There were so many cameras as all the family members around the world celebrated with us here on the Gulf Coast. I snapped a photo of Julian and Stephanie right after the wedding getting congratulated over FaceTime. I think that's the beauty of the age we live in. We are connected and can be included even from far far away. BTW, Lori who is Stephanie's mom was the one who hired me for this big day. How thoughtful right? She knew that one day their story could be told in a way old pictures could tell.

3.Stephanie and Julian rushed their wedding since her Grandparents were ill recently and she wanted to make sure they would be there. It always shows what kind of person the bride and groom are when they extend themselves like that. To sacrifice their wants to make sure the family is at the forefront of it all. Grandma and Grandpa sat right in the front row. As I snapped away I stole glimpses of Grandma taking in each moment with such pride. Pride that she would carry with her to her last days.

Here among friends they cut their cake and raised their glasses for the new adventure of marriage!
