Kersty and Scott // San Antonio, TX Wedding Photographer // Jessica Salort Photography

Kersty and Scott's wedding was a memorable wedding for the books. Where to start with this beautiful day? So I will start from the beginning.

Late September, I got a call from a good friend saying her good friend needed a wedding photographer for a short notice wedding in the next month. Scott's father had recently been diagnosed with cancer, and they were hoping to tie the knot asap in light of recent events.

The wedding, though planned in mere weeks, the celebration would have many guests from both sides of the family since everyone was local. And luckily for Kersty, her best friend Stephanie is one of the best local wedding planners who helped arrange everything. Looking at all the gorgeous details, you would have never guessed that things were put together last minute since everything was perfect.

I arrived to the Bay House, which was filled with guests, food and, the sounds of giggling bridesmaids. Everyone was scrambling to get the last-minute details together. As our gorgeous bride put the finishing touches of her make-up on, I snuck away to capture a few detail shots and photos of the groom with his groomsmen. I will say they were the silly bunch. They had so much fun energy. I then made my way back with the bridesmaids to get them all together with our lovely bride.

The time went so fast, and before you know it, our bride was being escorted down the aisle by her proud father-in-law. When Scott locked eyes with his beautiful bride, you couldn't help be emotional too. There was not a dry eye in the crowd.

Once the vows were exchanged it was immediately party time. This moment is when I got to see everyone's true personalities shine.

I can't know for sure, but I swear every groom's man had to be some professional dancer because they had some serious moves. There was non-stop dancing from everyone. They even had a song put on just for me so I could get my groove on too.

I love reception photos just as much as all the other photos. Those, to me are the moments you want to remember. To me, seeing your family and friends just living in the moment makes me so happy. I try to get all the angles and get right in the middle of all the action, making sure I don't miss anything.

This wedding will forever be a special one because the people were so warm and inviting. I can't express my appreciation to my clients for allowing me to share in these special moments not as a visitor but as a friend or family member.

Thank you again Kersty and Scott. I am wishing you a lifetime of love, laughter, and of course, Dancing! - Jessica
