Reunion Family Portraits // Navarre Beach Photography

Let’s talk Reunion Family Vacation Portraits! For some the idea of going on vacation with your extended family sounds like a nightmare and for others like me it’s a cherished yearly tradition. My large family did their yearly vacations together all 20 plus of us. We also went down to the beach which was just two hours away in Corpus Christi, Texas. We’d all bunk together in the comfy condo which sat quietly on the Texas shores.

It’s no surprise to me when I receive inquires for extended family portraits while they are visiting from all over. I could not imagine a better backdrop for these photos either! These portraits usually include Grandparents, Siblings, Cousins, Grandchildren and sometimes Great Grandchildren. Even better sometimes is when they are celebrating joyful occasions like anniversary or a surprise engagement on the beach! In fact this family had a engagement on our lovely beaches the night before. How cool is that? And heck yes if you are wondering I did take photos of that gorgeous ring!

For extended family portraits I will separate each family and take their photos at the various spots along with the big group photos. Often during these sessions the families like to show their playful side and try to re-enact photos that they had taken years before. I like to take headshots of all the children and photos of each couple. And of course we incorporate those traditional beach poses like walking down the beach hand in hand, the jumping in the air, facing the ocean pose, etc. The point is this is I am here to take these photos for you to help tell your story, to preserve a little bit of your family history.
