My Style
My photography style could best be described as timeless, natural true to life with pops of color. My focus is delivering gorgeous portraits of your family that you will treasure for generations to come. I also won’t forget to document those candid moments in between. Life is better unscripted right?
My sessions are fun! Believe me when I say that I am a blast! <- - - Or I think I am at least. I usually have a best friend or two by the end of the session. We will play games, tell jokes and have a good time because after all, this shouldn't be work. I want you to have a good time because the happier you are, the more comfortable you will look in your photos. Which means that you will recieve more photos in your gallery. My galleries are huge, and I like to include all great images.
I want this to be the best session you ever had, so let your guard down and be silly with me. My sessions range from very active to very traditional posed photos. When we meet I will briefly go over all the the things we will be doing and gentle reminders of what not to do. And if you decide to jump right in and splash in the ocean, I will capture every bit of it, I won't argue! I will probably be right behind you in the water too. I like adventure and getting creative, so we can have as much fun as you want!
As a mother of 4, I have lots of patience so don’t worry if your little ones get upset. We will give them a moment to feel better, and then jump right back into the action. I usually use this time to take other photographs of other family members. Happy kids make the best portraits so I try my best to make sure they feel safe, and let them know how much I appreciate working with them.
And if you are taking couples photos, I got you in the love department. I want all those steamy photos. I welcome the twirls, the kisses and the Pinterest worthy poses. Get as lovey dovey as you like! I want those photos for you.
When I became a photographer I wanted to be a photographer for all your needs. I made it my mission to grow with you, as you go through all the seasons of life. I continue my education yearly and continue to look for ways to improve ways to better serve my clients. This job brings me the purest joy. I hope you can see that within each and every photo I capture.

Booking Process
My booking process is easy, and all you have to do is fill out my contact form with all your session requests and details. The more details I know, the better I can help answer all of your questions.
I’ll send you a quote with all my package information. This quote will also include possible dates if your desired date is not available. *If you don’t hear from me it may because my response e-mail went to spam. I usually send out a text letting you know I have received your email and to check your spam.
You will pick the package that works best for you, including your session date.
Once the details are picked, I will send you an invoice to your email. Your invoice must be paid within 48 hours so you don’t loose your slotted time. Please pay in a timely manner. I operate on a first come first serve basis.
Remember that I am always available to chat with you. You can call me during the business hours of 9am-5pm, and I would be happy to answer all your questions.
The Experience
I am located in beautiful Navarre Beach. Many of my sessions take place close by however, I am always open to traveling to other locations if I am available. Travel rates are included in all of my quotes. My usual locations would include Navarre Beach, Naval Life Oaks, Downtown FWB and Pensacola. I also do in home sessions as well.
I photograph Weddings, Families, Couples, Maternity, Seniors, Headshots, Pets and Lifestyle Sessions. If there is a session you are unsure of just ask. I am always excited to try new things.
Shooting times will depend on what package you choose. I have multiple options available to choose from depending on the type as well. The best time to take photos would be at sunrise or at sunset, depending on the location you choose. All other sessions can be booked throughout the day. Personal preferance is up to you when picking a slot. Lighting will determine final editing results.
Weather is crazy here. I try my best to keep you updated, and guess what we should do in the event of inclement weather. Sometimes we will start earlier, and sometimes we will shoot the next day or after. I can usually get you in as long as you are flexible. I will let you know if the weather is not optimum for photos.
Sickness also happens, which I understand. Please give me a heads up ASAP so I can adjust my schedule. And we can figure out the next best date for your canceled session.
In the event that I am unavailable due to circumstances out of my control, I will give you a few options of my trusted photography friends who are available to take over for me.
There are NO REFUNDS for my services and retainers. I am a small business and I take time to separate dates and times. If you cancel I am often unable to rebook your slotted time. I can happily reschedule you and get you in on a new date or we can transfer your session to another party.
Looking your best for the camera is important to me, so I have a great guide to help you get started with your wardrobe choices. Check the bottom of this page for the tab labeled Styling Guide. The passord is JSP. There you will find helpful tips to prepare you for your session. Don’t stress too much though, and remember to keep it simple. In this style guide you will get plenty of ideas on what to wear.
You could add hair and make-up to any package you have, if I have availability. If I don’t I can possibly find someone local to join us.
We celebrate birthdays and anniversaries or just-because moments together, so many of you choose to bring in special items to your session. I welcome your creative ideas however, please let me know ahead of time so I can plan accordingly. Also make sure any items you bring are friendly to the environment, especially the beach.
Editing and Delivery Process
My editing style is true to my photography style could best be described as timeless, natural true to life with pops of color. I really like to enhance the colors you see in real life and make them into a polished version of what you see in real life.
My photos start off in RAW form. Then, a basic edit is applied. Next, I will retouch the skin if needed. You can see in before and after images the changes are subtle, but make a huge difference. My editing process to edit a one hour long session can take me anywhere from 5 -12 plus hours depending on a few things such as, crowds at the location, winds, lighting issues, major retouching etc. The editing process is varied from each session. Most images can be edited for your specific needs, and for more complex editing I send those out to a professional editor. Most complex edits start at $25 per image. These edits would include body slimming, head swapping, teeth whitening, skin retouching past blemishes, fixing clothing, and people or background removal.
I do not ever release RAW images. You will only review edited images. Raw images are not for sale under any circumstance.
A completed gallery will have over 20 plus images to choose from. As I said earlier, I love to give you choices and don’t like to pick the images for you, so I edit everything I shoot minus duplicates and blinky eyes, etc. All my packages come with a set number of images however, you can also purchase individual images or the entire gallery for a discounted rate (this rate varies). The more excited you are to take photos the more photos you will have available in your gallery to choose from.
All galleries are digital and delivered to your e-mail. I keep all images on my website gallery for 90 days. Your gallery will come come with a print release so you may take your images to a lab of your choice. My galleries are also integrated with a online option to purchase your images directly from my professional lab.
After your session/event with JSP
You will want to pick and download your images as soon as possible. I recommend storing them online, external hardrive or both. I keep your galleries up for 90 days.
Please print your images. There is something so special about having a physical photo or product in your hands. My favorite ways to display images in my home is with 4x6 prints, canvases and metals. Plus they make great gifts for any and all occassions. Don’t forget you can purchase your images directly from my gallery website to make the ordering process so much easier.
