Portraits at Fort Pickens // Pensacola Beach Photographer // Jessica Salort Photography
You know I deal with a lot of tiny little people with big personalities. So you won't ever have to apologize because your tot was very expressive when I asked him to smile for the hundredth time when he really wanted to go and play in the sand. I have 4 kiddos myself ranging from 19-9 years old. I sure do miss those days. I wish I could go back quite often. My one regret was thinking it was too much work sometimes to take the picture whether it be because my kids were acting up or I wasn't comfortable in my own skin. I have learned over time especially now the value of photos and what they will mean to the future generations. I wish I would of been a lot more wiser then but you live and you learn.
So when I see you struggling because the little one isn't doing what we would like him/her to do because it would be really cool in photos. I promise you just roll with it. Some of my most favorite images of my kids are just those. In fact just yesterday I took my son to the beach for updated photos and guess what he did after about 5 seconds on the beach? He jumped in with his shark button up shirt and everything! He looked so cute though who could blame him? I mean I did take him to one of his happiest places in the world. In his words "mom I'm just a kid."
I can't predict how your session will go but I do know that you will have fun and you will feel joy when you look back on your images. I know this because that's my mission. Little people are crazy and they run the show most days but I tell you this if there was one day to let them it would be this one because they never disappoint.
