Celeste and Lucas // Pensacola Elopement Photographer // Oyster House
Celeste and Lucas had the cutest elopement in Pensacola this week. Can you believe how adorable these two are?
We started these portraits at the Oyster House (Formerly Lee House). It's one of the premier venues in Pensacola where you can stay as well. My couple had booked a room for the night so they were able to use the property for the portraits. It had been a while since the last time I had been there and was surprised to see all the cool upgrades. The courtyard was so much bigger and they had a nice lawn area for ceremonies/receptions.
Originally I spoke with April, Celete's mom who was eager to help with the planning and get so many details for the day. We were unsure if it would rain because you know FL is crazy this time of year. That's how we ended up at the Oyster House so we could have a backup option. I thought that doing photos Downtown would be awesome so we could get various textures and light into our photos. I love our Downtown's rich history anyways so it always adds that vintage charm.
The day was quite nice after all. There was not a cloud in the sky, just glowy bright sunlight. It was awesome. I met the beautiful couple in the courtyard and instantly saw their connection. It was written all over their faces. Just two young people waiting for their happily ever after.
We posed, danced, twirling with that golden light flowing through the trees. Lucas tossed Celeste in the air with no effort and bounced her around with her blonde hair in the wind.
After the photos, we took a minute to sit down in the wonderful little picnic April set up for the two. There they ate chocolate-covered strawberries and drank champagne. It was also bubble time. I love how they never go where you want them to go but it was fun anyways. We had the entire family blowing we could get some awesome photos. It was something to see watching everyone try to make this day perfect for the two.
Located right across from the Oyster House is the Little White Chapel so we of course had to get some photos there. Also located across the street is an awesome park with huge tall trees so we played there as well. At one point at the park a couple stopped the bride and groom to take selfies with them like they were rockstars.
Celeste was lucky to have her immediate family join us but Lucas not so much. His family was stuck in France due to Covid restrictions. I was invited to the big wedding so I would LOVE to go if that opportunity ever presents itself.
Thank you again, Celeste, Lucas and Sibile Family. It was my honor to be there on this special day. - Jessica
